The Drift was born out of a simple frustration: you can spend hours scrolling through reviews, overwhelmed by options, and still have no real idea what you're going to sleep on.
The direct-to-consumer sleep industry has produced some incredible products, but actually buying one has always felt broken. And the alternative? Walking into a traditional mattress store, only to suffer through a commission-driven, undereducated sales experience that somehow makes the decision even harder.
We built The Drift to fix that.

Tucked into Seattle's Lower Queen Anne neighborhood, The Drift is an independently owned, one-of-a-kind showroom dedicated exclusively to direct-to-consumer mattresses and sleep products. We carry the most popular and highest-rated brands in the space — Helix, Brooklyn Bedding, Winkbeds, and more — and every single product on our floor is one we personally stand behind. If we don't trust it, it doesn't make the cut.
When you walk through our doors, you won't find a commission-hungry salesperson waiting to steer you toward the most expensive option. What you will find is a calm, unhurried space where you're free to take your time, try things out, and make your own decision. We're here when you have questions — and we'll always give you a straight answer.

Before The Drift, co-owners Peter Kim and Jackson Lindeke spent over a decade helping build some of the most trusted names in the sleep industry: Tuck, Sleep Foundation, and Sleep Doctor. Between them, they've led product testing, developed the recommendation frameworks millions of shoppers rely on, and gotten closer to the DTC mattress world than almost anyone in it.

Meet the Owners
Peter Kim
Peter Kim is a co-owner of The Drift and a decade-long veteran of the sleep industry, having helped build some of its most trusted digital destinations — including Tuck, Sleep Foundation, and Sleep Doctor. After years at the intersection of sleep research and e-commerce, he saw a persistent gap: shoppers couldn't truly experience the direct-to-consumer brands they were reading about. The Drift is his answer to that problem.
Jackson Lindeke
Jackson Lindeke is a co-owner of The Drift and one of the sleep industry's most seasoned product testing and recommendations experts, having spent over a decade leading mattress evaluation, organic growth, and eventually serving as General Manager at Sleep Doctor. A cited authority whose hands-on testing protocols and recommendations have helped guide millions of shoppers, Jackson built much of the infrastructure behind how consumers discover and choose sleep products online. He co-founded The Drift to bring that same depth of product knowledge into a physical space where customers can finally experience the products for themselves.
