  • Firmness Level: Available in three options — Soft, Medium, and Firm. Bear rates these at approximately 5, 6, and 7 out of 10, respectively. The Medium is the most widely recommended starting point for most sleepers, but all three are worth testing in our showroom since the feel of the microcoil comfort system reads differently than a standard foam mattress across firmness levels.
  • Feel Description: The surface has an immediate, responsive quality. The Celliant cover feels noticeably cool to the touch, and the adaptive microcoils in the comfort layer give the mattress a lively, buoyant quality as it conforms to your body. It's a "sleep on top of the mattress" feel rather than a deep sink — responsive contouring with quick rebound. The Soft option adds more give for side sleepers and lighter body weights, while the Firm delivers structured support with less contouring.
  • Our Take: This mattress occupies a specific and well-executed niche: high-performance cooling with a dynamic, active feel. It doesn't try to be the plushest bed on the floor. Very good, with firmness selection being key. The Soft is the right starting point for side sleepers under 130 lbs or anyone who wants more shoulder and hip cushioning. The Medium works well for average-weight side sleepers. Test both in the showroom before deciding.

Excellent. The five-zone lumbar support in the coil core keeps the lower back lifted and aligned without the hips sinking too far into the comfort layers. The Medium or Firm is typically the better fit for back sleepers at average to heavier body weights.
